NYC - CENTRAL PARK: Final info for 4/10 Cherry Blossom Walk @ 10am. DESTINATION: We start inside the park at the 90th St/5th Ave entrance and will walk counter clockwise around the reservoir to check out the spectacular CHERRY BLOSSOM TREES! Get your cameras ready! ABOUT: EverWalk is the hottest new free walking club sweeping the nation - started by endurance swimmer, journalist and author, Diana Nyad, and Bonnie Stoll, women's national raquetball champion. Welcome to the Central Park (Easy) EverWalk Chapter! MASK UP: You must wear a mask (2 is better) and social distance to walk with us, even if you have been vaccinated ~ per NYC guidelines. TIME: We leave promptly at 10am EVERY WEEK and do not check messages before or during the walk. So not a bad idea to arrive a few minutes early. WALK/DISTANCE: Please join us for an easy 3 mile walk (more or less) for about 90 minutes. We try to explore different parts of the park so that you have a mini-adventure to talk about with your friends. START/FINISH: The meet up/finish spot IS ALWAYS THE SAME - enter the park through 90th Street and Fifth Avenue, and cross the road with runners and cyclists. Stay on the dirt path (bridle path) on other side of the road. Meet in front of the John Purroy Mitchel statue, a gold bust on the stone wall with 2 sets of stairs just BELOW the reservoir path. Look for a few people in EverWalk gear! BATHROOM STOP: We try to include a bathroom stop when possible, but be prepared that a bathroom might not be accessible on the route. RELEASE: If you participate in a walk you are responsible for yourself and agree not to hold the EverWalk organization, its leaders or members liable in any way for any injuries or damage which may occur as a result of your participation. WEATHER NOTE: We will walk in the cold, in light rain, and light snow. We won’t walk on icy areas, in heavy downpours, in lightning or unsafe terrain. #centralparkeasyeverwalk
