This week I will be focusing on blue things in nature. A familiar site in my backyard is the blue jay. I thought about including blue jays during my week on nature's tricksters. Blue Jays fool ME sometimes by sounding just like red-shouldered hawks. These calls may provide information to other jays that a hawk is around, or may be used to deceive other species into BELIEVING a hawk is present. #blue #birds #natureclub #bluejays
