I walked 1.7 miles on the tracks, on streets, and through the woods, where yellow trout lilies were carpeting the ground! I’m glad I didn’t miss them. The little pink flower is a claytonia — a wildflower that appeared in my back garden a couple of years ago. The old tree stump is my brown thing, though the trout lily leaves are mottled with brown.
