I hosted a film-related event yesterday where I happened to learn about another movie version of Wuthering Heights. . .It came out in 1970, starring a young Timothy Dalton. It did really well at the box office at the time. . .so for those of you who have become Wuthering Heights film aficionados, here’s one more to consider. (I found out that its success for both the director — Robert Fuest — and the studio — American International Pictures — directly led to one of my dad’s most popular movies a year later — The Abominable Dr. Phibes. That collaboration might never have happened without Wuthering Heights.) Thought I’d share this interesting connection. . .
