So, my neighbor lady messaged me this week to tell me that her little daughter said that she wants to go on one of “RED’s Adventures”. Since she has health conditions, she does not go hiking, so she asked me if I would take her daughter on a “not-so-hard adventure”. Eeee! So, she asked all about clothes and shoes and hiking poles and we are all set for a Sunday afternoon hike at my favorite park here in Akron, OH. It’s a little scary that someone is trusting me with their child, but it’s also super flattering. I’m excited that I get to open her up to nature hikes!!! I’m planning on going virtual for at least part of our hike, so if you would like to join, let me know in the comments. How I’d like to do this: I have a Facebook chat group that has about 18 people there. At any given time when one of us is hiking, we call the group and those who want to join, join. As more people want to join our group, the potential to have too many people and a chat becomes a concern. I’d like to try and keep the chats six people or less so people are not talking over each other. Normally, we don’t have too much more than that at any given time and people come and go during a virtual walk also. But, if we keep adding more people, then I’ll have some go into a different chat of their own at that point if it becomes too much. What do y’all think?
