Here's your green things in nature fact of the day. One green animal that I wish I could see again sometime is the rough green snake. I have spent many hours of my life looking for snakes and if it wasn't for the fact that the one rough green snake I encountered was crossing the trail ahead of me, I'm sure I would have missed it. Their camouflage is superb. These snakes are very docile and seldom bite. They spend most of their time in trees and other vegetation where their slender bodies resemble vines. The one I saw amazed me by how far it could extend its body from my hands and remain perfectly rigid. I know snakes are not everyone's favorite creatures, but I have had a lifelong fascination for these beautiful reptiles. #green #snakes #natureclub #roughgreensnake
